Background analysis of the climate in Nanning

    Situated in the south of Guangxi Province, below the Tropic of Cancer, and in the small basin surrounded by mountains, Nanning has a humid sub-tropical monsoon climate, with abundant sunshine and precipitation, little frost and no snow, long summer and short winter. The annual average temperature is about 22℃. In winter, January is the coolest month, with an average tem-perature of about 13℃, and an average low of about 10℃. In summer, the warmest months are July and August, with an average temperature of about 29℃, and an average high of about 33℃. The av-erage relative humidity is 79%. So it is often uncomfortably hot and humid. Comparatively speaking, it is humid in summer and somewhat dry in winter. Summer is much longer than winter. And significant amounts of precipitation occur in summer. With good climate conditions, Nanning has blooming flowers, flourish trees, beautiful sceneries, as well as abundant agriculture products. With a reputation for being called "Green City", it is also described as "Grass never withers in winter; flowers bloom throughout the year."
